Associate Professor Jin Tian has been invited to join the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing Program on Causality at the University of California, Berkeley. The program will take place from January 11 through May 13, 2022.
The Simons Institute programs are a semester-long program that brings together a group of researchers from various fields. This particular program aims to integrate advances and techniques from theoretical computer science into methods for causal inference and discovery. The program gathers a group of about 20-30 full-semester visitors in Berkeley and has plans for a variety of additional workshops and talks.
Frederick Eberhardt, Professor at California Institute of Technology, hopes that Jin Tian can join the program in his invitation letter.
