The Department is pleased to announce that Kathy Hahn-Davidson ('73) is our newest appointee to the External Advisory Council. Davidson graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Iowa State in 1973. Kathy began her career at Hewlett Packard (HP) as an R&D software engineer.
The Department is pleased to announce that Karthik Balakrishnan is our newest appointee to the External Advisory Council. Balakrishnan earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, specializing in AI. He has 25 years of experience developing and leading data/analytics and product functions at Verisk, Allstate Insurance, and Fireman’s Fund/Allianz Insurance Company.
The External Advisory Council will have its fall meeting on October 7th in Atanasoff Hall room 223. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
