Iowa State University has awarded a Distinguished Professorship to Robyn Lutz, Professor of Computer Science. This permanent title is the highest academic honor that ISU bestows. Lutz works to build safer software systems. Her research and technical leadership have played a crucial role in creating and developing a community in requirements engineering for safety-critical computing, with applications from spacecraft software to molecular programs. She has helped educate and train students in research at ISU for over 25 years and recently received a departmental teaching award. Lutz is an ACM Distinguished Scientist and an IEEE Fellow.
