Pavan Aduri, Professor in the Department of Computer Science, received the 2022 ACM SIGMOD Research Highlight Award.

Abusayeed Saifullah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, received a grant from the Office of Naval Research in the amount of $303,631.

Robyn Lutz has been elevated as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) “for contributions to software requirements for safety-critical systems."

Amazon's Robotics A.I. Group recently made a generous donation to the Department's Robotics Lab for research usage. The donated robotic hand, called a Shadow Hand, equipped with a BioTac sensor in each fingertip, is valued at $180,000.

Simanta Mitra, Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science, has been named as the co-direct for the North Central North America region of the International Collegiate Programming Contest. 

In recognition of decades of distinguished service to the computer science community, Dr. Robyn Lutz receives the 2021 lifetime service award at the IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference.

Hongyang Gao, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant in the amount of $175,000.
