Prof. Hridesh Rajan will serve as the General Chair for SPLASH 2021, the ACM SIGPLAN conference on Systems, Programming, Languages, and Applications: Software for Humanity. The conference to be held in Chicago, IL from Sunday, October 17, 2021 to Friday, October 22, 2021 is a premier forum at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering research areas in Computer Science.
According to the ACM website, “SPLASH embraces all aspects of software construction and delivery, to make it the premier conference on the applications of programming languages—at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering.”
Rajan also served at the General Chair for SPLASH 2020, making him the first general chair to serve two consecutive terms for the conference. SPLASH 2020 was organized as a virtual conference and was held from November 15-21, 2020. SPLASH broke the record for conference registrations and registered a sold-out group of attendees. According to the ACM website, virtual SPLASH hosted nine co-located conferences: OOPSLA, ECOOP, REBASE, GPCE, SLE, Onward! Papers, Essays, SAS, and DLS.
