Admissions Partnership Program
Iowa State University and the Iowa community colleges have partnered to offer the Admissions Partnership Program (APP) to students who enroll at an Iowa community college and have identified Iowa State as their transfer destination.
Students participate in APP while enrolled at the community college to assist in taking the next step toward a smooth and successful transition by offering a variety of exclusive benefits from academic advising, transfer planning, access to Iowa State housing, libraries, career fairs, recreational facilities, and more.

How do I schedule a campus visit?
Please contact Campus Visits. We recommend planning your visit at least 2 weeks in advance so that we can arrange the appointments you have requested and send you confirmation materials, travel instructions, and parking information.

How do I register for classes? Orientation is a program for students who have accepted their offer of admission to Iowa State University and plan to enroll in an upcoming term. When you attend orientation, you will register for your first semester classes. In addition, you will increase your knowledge of Iowa State University, including important policies and procedures. Orientation will also help prepare you for the personal and social adjustments you will make upon entering Iowa State University.
At orientation, you will be provided an opportunity to do the following:
- Meet with an academic advisor
- Register for classes
- Obtain your ISUCard (permanent identification card)
- Sign up for your free Iowa State e-mail account
- Become familiar with the campus
- Consult with a financial aid advisor, if needed
- Learn about resources such as tutoring, counseling, and student clubs
- Take English Placement Assessment, if necessary
- Register for Destination Iowa State
