Waqwoya Abebe

Waqwoya Abebe is a Ph.D. candidate working in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. He is currently working in the Software Analytics and Pervasive Parallelism Lab under the supervision of Dr. Ali Jannesari. His Ph.D. research topic is concerned with optimizing performance and communication in federated and decentralized learning systems. As a PNNL intern, Waqwoya has been working on adapting and improving the capabilities of foundation models in computer vision.
