Mahdi Banisharifdehkordi is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. He is working under the supervision of Dr. Ali Jannesari in the fields of Machine Learning and Graph Neural Networks (GNN) in High-Performance Computing (HPC). His current research focuses on optimizing performance in HPC applications and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs). During the Summer of 2024, Mahdi interned with Google Summer of Code, where he applied GNNs to diagnose I/O performance bottlenecks in HPC applications.
