Koushik Howlader

PhD Student

Koushik Howlader, a Ph.D student in the department of Computer Science at Iowa State University, is committed to expanding the area of Medical Imaging through the use of deep learning techniques. His knowledge also includes the use of several machine learning approaches, with a particular emphasis on healthcare data. Notably, during his summer internship at North Dakota State University's Center for Computationally Assisted Science and Technology(CCAST) in 2023, Koushik dug into the rigorous analysis of machine learning program performance. His work entailed leveraging the capabilities of High Performance Computing resources such as OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, and OpenACC to generate substantial advances in this sector.
