Wallapak Tavanapong Named Kingland Professor

Dr. Wallapak Tavanapong, Professor of Computer Science, has been named the next Kingland Systems Professor in Data Analytics or Cognitive Machine Learning in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University.

The professorship was established to recognize faculty members teaching in the areas of data analytics or cognitive machine learning. It is one of the highest recognitions for scholarship excellence at Iowa State University and was given to Dr. Tavanapong as recognition for her research, including the Dependable Data-Driven Discovery graduate program.

"I am grateful for the named professorship,” said Dr. Tavanapong. “I look forward to leveraging this opportunity to make a lasting impact for ISU and the state of Iowa.
