Alumnus Dr. Jyotishman Pathak Named Dean at Arizona State University

We are thrilled to announce that our alumnus, Dr. Jyotishman Pathak, will lead the School of Technology for Public Health at Arizona State University as its inaugural dean.

Currently, Dr. Pathak holds multiple leadership positions, including Frances & John L. Loeb Professor of Medical Informatics, Chief of the Division of Health Informatics, and Vice Chair for Entrepreneurship in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medical College. In 2023, he was also appointed as an advisor to the Director of the National Institute of Mental Health.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Pathak has authored over 275 publications and received numerous awards for his research, teaching, and leadership contributions. Dr. Pathak earned his doctoral degree in 2007 from the Department of Computer Science, under the mentorship of Professor Vasant Honavar.

We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing the continued impact he will make in his new role at Arizona State University.
