Computer Science students shine again. Tony Ross, Peter Wong, James Marshall, and Matt Swanson participated and won in the 2006 Pappajohn Entrepreneur Contest!
In Fall 2005, the students were all members of a project team in the Software Development Practices course (com s 309). Their project idea was to build "a collaborative editor integrated with the Eclipse IDE". They worked real hard and were able to complete a working prototype for the class in two months!
Since then, they have toyed with the idea of starting a business, and have worked on developing a business plan. This team was selected by Mr. Pappajohn as one of three finalists and they received $5000 for their accomplishment.
