PhD Student

Modeste Atsague Is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University, where he works under Dr Jin Tian's supervision. He conducts research in artificial intelligence, mainly focused on adversarial machine learning. In addition, he used to work as a teaching assistant. Having completed a BA and MA degrees in mathematics and Statistics, his desire to learn new computing skills made the transition to computer science possible and exposed him to state-of-the-art learning algorithms in machine learning and optimization. He is currently a program analyst/quantitative analyst at Wells Fargo, where they developed cutting-edge machine learning tools such as PiML(A python toolbox for interpretable machine learning). Before joining Iowa State University, Modeste was a lecturer at Central Connecticut State University, teaching various undergraduate courses in Mathematical Statistics.
