In the Department of Computer Science, we encourage all of our students to ask for help. Our majors are often high-achieving and independent-minded – it’s OK if seeking help is a new experience for you! Our faculty and advisors encourage you to reach out early on. In fact, some professors may even make it a rule in their class to do so.
The Help Room offers a variety of resources, including free drop-in tutoring, regularly scheduled tutor office hours, a dedicated study space in a collaborative environment, and more.
The Computer Science Help Room is covered in whiteboard paint for problem-solving sessions and offers a supportive and welcoming collaborative space where you can study, spend time with peers who share your interests, and gain a better understanding of material with free drop-in help from tutors. In the help room, you’ll find tutors and students supporting one another with kindness and respect. The willingness to share knowledge and work together in a collaborative culture sets Cyclones apart!
