ISU COMS team won kudos for excellence in Software Engneering at the CSIDC World finals

Shahzaib, Melanie, and Doug won the Microsoft Software Engineering Award at the IEEE Computer Society's world finals at Washington D.C. They also were placed third overall at the competition. There were about 250 teams worldwide competing for the award. They received a total of $9000/- as prize money. 

The finals competition was intense and the quality of all the projects was amazing. There were twelve judges who did an excellent job of carefully scrutinizing each project. A whole day was spent on demonstrations. Another whole day was spent on presentations. The judges commented that this year it was very hard to make the final selections. 

The first and second place winners were Poznan University of Technology, Poland and Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania, respectively.
