Abstract: At Cargill Inc., one of the largest corporations in the food and agriculture business operating in 70 countries and trading in over 120 countries, we leverage state of the art Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enrich business decision making and gain competitive advantage in the market. AI/ML solutions find use across all the sub-businesses of Cargill and are typically categorized into the following:

In this presentation, we will cover how the Cargill Data Science team translates fundamental science into workable solutions. The discussion will encompass the typical workflow for a Cargill data scientist and will highlight some of the successful use cases that we have tackled thus far. Overall, this talk will shed light on how data science-based tools are incorporated into the ever growing ag-tech business.
