Funding

The Department of Computer Science provides funding for qualified candidates through assistantships. This appointment and any renewal of the assistantship appointment is dependent upon satisfactory academic standing and progress, performing your duties satisfactorily, funds being available, and departmental and staff needs. Advising

In the Computer Science graduate program we have two different types of advising; faculty advising and professional academic advisors. Your faculty advisor is your major professor, these terms are synonomous. The professional academic advisors in our department are the DOGE, Dr. Pavan Aduri and Graduate Student Services Specialist, Nicole Lewis. All advisors can assist with academic, personal, and any other types of questions you might have while a student here at Iowa State.
