SUMMARY:PhD Final Oral Exam: Lale Madahali
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:The rising prominence of social bots aligns with the widespread
incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) into various aspects of our
daily lives and applications. These automated agents\, designed to simpli
fy repetitive tasks\, are now prevalent on platforms such as Wikipedia\, F
acebook\, and Twitter. This research\, however\, concentrates specifically
on Twitter bots. On this platform\, bots frequently function discreetly\,
hiding their true identities. Unfortunately\, some exploit this anonymity
to spread misinformation and disinformation. In this study\, our attentio
n is specifically directed towards Twitter bots\, with a detailed examinat
ion of their varied forms\n\nMore information at: https://www.cs.iastate.e
