Fall 2025 Industry Lecture: Collins Aerospace
The Perfect Airborne Navigation System Design
Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Collins Aerospace has the extensive capabilities, comprehensive portfolio and broad expertise to solve customers’ toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.
In this special session host at the Collins Aerospace Ames Site, Chuck Pelton will share how Collins Aerospace leverages the Systems Engineering process to ensure that we are delivering the right product, at the right time, to satisfy the customer’s need. This event will be an interactive analysis performed by the audience, to define a system solution based on a conceptual problem space. As part of this exercise engineers will learn how to analyze and think through customer requirements and the problem space and understand how to adapt that to appropriate solution space realization.
