CS Colloquium: Dr. Jyotishman Pathak
Improving Perinatal Mental Health in the Era of A.I.
Perinatal depression impacts up to one in seven women in the United States. Despite the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommending at least one mental health screening during the perinatal period, routine screenings are not yet common practice in obstetric clinics. Consequently, many women at risk go undiagnosed and untreated. This talk will explore how real-world data from electronic health records and machine learning models can be utilized to identify individuals at risk of perinatal depression and individualize mental health interventions accordingly.
