Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence – My Journey and Vision

In this talk, I will share my journey in the academia career and present my vision for Iowa State University Computer Science Department. First of all, I will share my leadership and management experience. This includes my roles of leading multiple strategic initiatives, and experience of managing large-scale, center-level collaborative projects at the National Science Foundation (NSF). Moreover, I will share my experience to significantly grow academic programs when serving as the Graduate Program Directors for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and School of Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. Next, I will present my research and education activities in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and advanced wireless technologies. Finally, I will present my vision for the Computer Science Department.
