Journey to the Workforce

Starting a full-time career can be overwhelming. Getting to where you feel comfortable can be even harder. Everyone has a different journey and we want to share ours. Three Principal Financial Group tech employees share their experiences getting to where they are now and where they could continue to go.

Our Speakers

David Ogg joined Principal in May of 2021. Prior to Principal, David spent 14 years in technology engineering and leadership roles within the financial industry. He now manages the implementation of the enterprise information security program as a Principal Bank Business Information Security Officer.

Stephen Moore is an engineer with three plus years of Java, C#, and Python code development experience with extensive agile, project, and team leadership expertise.

Maria Knoll started as a Software Engineering intern for Principal in 2020. She continued to intern and work part-time until she graduated in 2022. Now as a full-time employee, she works as a Salesforce developer for their Benefits and Protection business unit.
