Welcome in the new school year by participating in the @ISUComSci Social Media Contest!

The contest dates will be August 19, 2024 – August 30, 2024.

Instagram, Tweet, or Facebook a pic to @ISUComSci with #CyclonesEverywhere and #ComputerScienceMajor in the caption. We’ve got a prize for each day that we’re giving away randomly! One post = one entry, so the more you post, the greater your chances are of winning!

• A joyous reunion with your ISU pals or new friends!
• The coolest thing you did all summer.
• Your favorite spot on campus or your Fall 2020 location.
• The most Instagrammable food on/near campus or your Fall 2020 location.
• Show off your favorite Cyclone Gear!

The Fine Print: Eligibility Requirements and Conditions:

• Participants must be current undergraduate or graduate students at Iowa State. Entries must be public on social media, sent to @ISUComSci, and must be tagged using the hashtags #CyclonesEverywhere and #ComputerScienceMajor.

• Participant must be following us on the channel they submit their entry on (@ISUComSci).

• The challenge can be completed individually – but it’s more fun with friends! Please remember to use new health and safety guidelines. At least one person from your group must follow the directions, and the prize will be issued to that member of your group, to be shared among any/all participants at their discretion. (We’re not getting involved.)

• Entries must be original and your own content/submission.

• Students studying overseas can also participate!

• Daily entries must be submitted between 7AM – 7PM

• Entries will be features on @ISUComSci social media and may be used in future presentations or publications. Winners will receive Computer Science swag.

Winners who submit by posting on social media will be notified by email from nlewis1@iastate.edu. We will also make one announcement at the end of the week on social media and our website.
