Speakers: 

• Jason Chiu, Analytics Data Engineer Jason Chiu, a CS grad from ISU, has been with John Deere since 2004.  He’s held multiple roles in the company throughout the years doing Java, ETL, AWS, and python development, and has been a remote employee since 2010.  He is currently an Analytics Data Engineer in the JDF Risk Analytics.  He still has some battle scars from CS311.

• Erik Sorensen, Data Scientist Erik Sorensen is a Data Scientist at John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) developing data smart applications to help our customers make smarter decisions. He graduated in 2020 with a degree in Data Science from Houghton College and is currently working on a Computer Science master’s degree at Georgia Tech. Erik has been with Deere for 4 years and has worked on multiple projects including credit risk modeling, crop growth stage forecasting, and modeling farmer behavior.
