Abstract: Developing a successful programming language is hard. Developing a successful UI toolkit is hard. Doing both at the same time is probably crazy. Kevin will discuss the creation and evolution of the Dart programing language and Flutter UI toolkit at Google. He will share insights on how to find success developing a new, audacious software stack. 

About the speaker: Kevin has been a product manager at Google since 2013. He works on Flutter (flutter.dev) and Dart (dart.dev), focusing on web and server technologies. Before Google, Kevin was an independent software architect. He also spent five years at Microsoft working on Windows and UI developer frameworks.
