Abstract: As the world population grows and climate changes, innovation will drive sustainable agriculture. In the Crop Science division at Bayer, the Plant Biotechnology R&D engine is powered by data and decisions to develop and test products that mitigate threats from weeds, insect pests and disease, enables reduced pesticide use, and combines the best genetics with the best outcomes for farmers. In this talk, Dr. Ruth Wagner and Dr. José Juan Tapia Valenzuela will talk about their career experiences and using data science, analytics and engineering to shape the Plant Biotechnology pipeline at Bayer.
