Abstract:

Authorship, publication, and peer review are murky subjects for many young scientists, but all are critically important for professional advancement. The presentation plans to de-mystify these subjects, in a PowerPoint combined with discussion.

Bio:

Mark Gleason has been on the faculty of the ISU Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology for 30 years. His research and teaching program focuses on understanding disease of specialty crops, primarily fruits and vegetables. He has been an editor for the research journal Plant Disease for 18 years, serving 2013-2015 as Editor in Chief.
