Adventure into Computing Workshops for K-12 Students, Teachers, and Parents

Students, teachers and parents interested in learning more about computational thinking, or preparing for the CTC can attend one of our workshops. Workshops are free for participants.

Grades K-3: Adventure into Computing

The workshops are recommended for students in grades K-3. This year workshops cover programming with MIT Scratch, program design, Makey Makey, and information about the annual computational thinking competition. Students will be most successful when parents/guardians are involved in the learning activities.

Grades 4-6: Adventure into Computing

The workshops are recommended for students in grades 4-6 or students in younger grades who have done some block coding such as Scratch before. This year workshop covers coding using block trinkets, basic searching algorithms, and coding of these algorithms. Students will be most successful when parents/guardians are involved in the learning activities.
