Prior to setting up your printer you may want to install the vendor supplied drivers to make sure all features are available.

Checkout Equipment

The IT support group (SSG) maintains a large list of equipment available for checkout by students.  Specific check out rules vary slightly based on the piece of equipment, please contact coms-ssg@iastate.edu or stop by Pearson 0125 or Atanasoff B09 with equipment checkout questions. Checkouts are on a first come, first serve basis. Due to the amount of laptops available we cannot hold or reserve them. MacBook Air laptops are not available to check out the first two weeks as they are reserved for class projects that might need one.

Mailing Lists

Computer Science Lists

The Department of Computer Science maintains several mailing lists, which are created on the Iowa state University Mailman servers and managed by the System Support Group (SSG).

Subscribing to Lists

Most undergraduate lists are maintained by data retrieved from Beardshear Hall. Users that are not on one of these lists, but wish to be, can subscribe to the list by sending an email to the SSG. Please indicate in the email the name of the list to be subscribed.
