Background

I received my undergraduate degree (BE) from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore University, Bangalore, India. After my undergrad, I worked as a Systems/Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, Bangalore for three years. I wanted to study further, quit HP and became a graduate student at Iowa State University. I also was offered Research Assistantship at Ames Laboratory, US Department of Energy. After completing two semesters at Iowa State University, I did my summer internship (May, 08 - Aug, 08) at EMC Corporation, Hopkinton, Massachusetts. I came back to school to complete my third semester and research work which culminated into my dissertation http://gradworks.umi.com/14/62/1462172.html.

After my graduation, I joined Yahoo! as a Tiger Engineer and am having fun learning new technologies, working on different projects - each unique, interesting and challenging - and creating new stuff.

My hobbies include working out, hiking, listening to music and reading books
