I am a PhD Student at the Computer Science department of Iowa State University, since June 2008. I completed Bachelor of Science (majoring Computer Science, and Mathematics) and Master of Computer Application degrees in 2005 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. Before coming to Iowa State, I worked as a software engineer for two years in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd ., Chennai, India.

Here at ISU, I work in Computational Biology Laboratory in Atanasoff Hall. My research advisor is Prof. David Fernández-Baca.

My research interests are Computational Biology and Phylogenetics. I am working on combinatorial optimization, graph theoretic algorithms, and approximation algorithms. In short, I love to play with algorithms.

In my spare time, I watch comedy shows, CNN, and spend time with family and friends.
