AIFF — Application Information File Format

A file which contains the caption, icon, capabilities, and MIME priority support information for an application.

A container format for video with synchronized audio. An AVI file can contain different compressed video and audio-streams.

MP3 MPEG Audio Layer III

Compression scheme for audio signals, which compresses a sound sequence into a very small file while preserving the original level of sound quality.
