I have graduated and moved. I am now a post-doc at INRIA Rhone-Alpes, team LEAR working with Cordelia Schmid.

I got PhD from Iowa State University, Computer Science Department, working at Center for Computational Intelligence, Learning and Discovery under the supervision of Dr. Vasant Honavar.

My primary research interest is machine learning with applications in computer vision, natural language, and computational biology. I am mainly interested in multiple instance learning, multiple label learning, probabilistic graphical models, non-parametric models, kernel methods, correlation models. I am also interested in active learning, semi-supervised learning, learning from semantically heterogeneous distributed data, dimensionality reduction methods, ontologies, regularization and visualization.

I co-organized NIPS workshop on Cost Sensitive Learning (with Balaji Krishnapuram and Shipeng Yu).
I helped organizing KDD Cup 2008 (with Balaji Krishnapuram and R. Bharat Rao)

Education:  BS in Computer Science Cum Laude(minors in Maths and Spanish) Iowa State University, 2004
