Current Research: Dr. Kothari is interested in parallel and distributed computing and its applications in science and engineering. Specific topics of interest are: tools for parallelization of legacy codes, parallel performance models, and distributed processing systems.
Dr. Kothari is also interested in neural networks and MARS (Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines).
