AI Research Seminar: Spring 1996 Schedule

Selected Topics
The seminar will emphasize the following topics (which
roughly correspond to research areas being
explored by Ph.D. students in the AI group):

A. Neural Architectures for Knowledge Representation and Inference

B. Grammar Inference and Language Learning

C. Neural Network Learning Algorithms

D. Evolutionary Robotics and Evolutionary Computing
Roughly three weeks will be spent
on each topic. The first talk on each topic will be an introductory or overview
talk highlighting major research problems and approaches. This will be followed
by more technical material. Other topics may be covered depending on the interests of the seminar participants.
