Research Page: Links to Mathematics and People

My primary research interests in Mathematics lie in the areas of Algebraic Logic, Categorical
and Universal Algebra,
Lattice Theory and Ordered Structures.  In Computer Science, I am interested
in the broad area of Artificial Intelligence. More specifically in knowledge representation and knowledge
acquisition as related to the Semantic Web.

I am involved in an NSF grant IIS-0639230 SGER: Exploratory Investigation of Modular Ontologies.
Vasant Honavar (PI), Giora Slutzki (Co-PI), and Doina Caragea (Co-PI), with the primary goal to develop
algorithms and software for collaborative development and the use of Modular Ontologies. My contribution
will be on the theoretical foundations of Abstract Modular Ontologies. Visit Professor Honavar's page for
more information!

This marvelous Book, so exquisitely written
