There will be approximately 4-6 problem sets assigned during the semester. The Problem sets are designed to help increase your understanding of the material covered in the lectures. In addition to problems that are required to be solved by all students in the class, most problem sets will include a few challenge problems which everyone (and especially the graduate students) are encouraged to solve for extra credit.
