Notes
-
All assignments
should be submitted by 5 PM of their due dates at the CS 511 drop box.
This wooden box is located on the south wall, half way down the main corridor of the first floor of Atanasoff Hall.
-
We reserve the right to grade only a subset of the problems assigned. Which problems will be graded will be decided after the submission deadline.
-
Refer to ISU Academic Dishonesty Policy for what you can do and what you should not do when working on homework assignments.
-
A note on grading:
We expect solutions to homework and exam problems to be clear and concise. A page or less will suffice
to give a complete answer to most questions, although somewhat more may be needed for problems that
ask for figures or have multiple parts.
Excessively long answers will be penalized.
As a guideline, a good idea is to start your answer with a brief summary of the main idea(s), followed by an explanation and
analysis of
the key details. A simple illustration can help greatly (but only if it is a simple one!).
