You will be required to write your lecture notes in latex since it is easier to express mathematical notation. For those of you that are not familiar with latex, I have provided a latex template file. The way this file compiles is shown in this PDF file. You should all use this file to obtain the header for your lecture notes.
If you need a quick primer on latex, let me know.

Your first assignment, which I mentioned in class today, has also been posted on the Assignments page. You will need to go over the two papers that I will be covering in class next and write a brief summary. I have made it due next Thursday, January 25.
