  I will plan to make-up last Friday's class on Monday, February 21 from 2:10 pm to 3:25 pm. Please respond to let me know whether you will be able to make it to this meeting.

  Since I haven't heard back from all of you about whether you can come to the make-up class on Monday, let us meet on Wednesday as usual (no class on Monday). We can decide at that time as to when the make-up class for last Friday will be.

  I am not feeling well today and I'll have to cancel class. Please let me know if it will work for you if we make up the class on Monday next week (this way we will meet MWF 2:10 - 3:25 next week).

  Homework 1 will be due on Friday, February 25. The first two problems have been posted.

• January 24, 2005
  Please sign up to take notes for the next four weeks. Each student should sign up for the whole week, i.e. 2 lectures. I will be posting the schedule on the web.

• January 19, 2005
  I would like to change the class time from MWF 2:10 - 3 to WF 2:10 - 3:25 (this is the schedule we are following this week). I asked in class today if any of you have constraints or preferences, and there was no response, so I guess it is ok with everyone. I feel the longer class period will work better. So, unless I hear otherwise, we will continue the WF schedule starting next week.

  If you have registered for Com S 611, you are probably wondering when the class meets. I have been out of town until yesterday so I was not able to set up an organizational meeting yet to decide on a time. So instead, could you send me your schedules so that we can set this up. I'm hoping that, given the class size, it will be easy to come up with a time that will work for everyone. Thanks!
