SOFTWARE ENGINEERING / Software Engineering Labratory

Professor Chang’s research in software engineering includes two major activities: software architecture based requirements engineering (SABRE) and project management with genetic algorithms (PROMGA). His research in net-centric computing currently focuses on rule-mitigated collaboration technology to support formal electronic meetings. He also studies distributed requirements engineering using mobile agents.

Software Architecture Based Requirements Engineering (SABRE)

A Net Approach to Project Management (Patent Pending)

        Function-Class Decomposition

Integral: Petri-net Approach to Distributed Software Development

        Service-oriented design with aspect (SODA)

A Foundational Study on Applications of GA to SE Problems
