Bhavesh Sanghvi

Thank you for visiting the homepage of Bhavesh Sanghvi.

I am a graduate student at the Iowa State University, Ames IA. Here, I am pursuing Master of Science in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. I am pursuing thesis in Artificial Intelligence (Semantic Web) under the guidance of Prof. Vasant Honavar. My thesis involves developing a scalable algorithm to help users to combine two ontologies.

Earlier, I earned my undergraduate degree from the Devi Ahilya University, Indore. Here, I pursued Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Technology.

Moreover, I have also earned professional work experience in Java/J2EE over a span of three years by working at Quark and GlobalLogic (formerly Induslogic). At Quark, I worked for workflow management product, Quark Workflow Engine. At GlobaLogic, my clients were Zones and BroadSoft (worked on BroadWorks).

In summer 2008 I successfully completed Google Summer of Code 2008 project by developing open source OpenBiomind-GUI for Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence. At the same time I also pursued an internship with Clearsighted where I developed part of open source xPST: Extensible Problem-Specific Tutor based on the latest techniques in cognitive modeling.
