Twenty one Computer Science and three Computer Engineering students participated in the 2010 ACM ICPC Regional Programming Contest on Saturday October 31. Sponsors for the ISU students' trip to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln included Kingland Systems, Maverick Software, and Cerner Corporation. Although we did not have teams that placed in the top 3 this year, we would like to congratulate all of our students for their successes and wish them luck in preparing for next year's contest! Team coach Dr. Mitra speculated, "the top problem solvers (from our ISU teams), when confronted with a particularly tough problem attacked it vigorously and would not let it go and move on to other problems. Although, this strategy is bad for the contest, their tenacity bodes well for their future as graduate students!"
