Michael Seibert, a senior in Computer Science from Grimes, Iowa, participated earlier this fall in the Google Code Jam, a global programming contest operated by Google, Inc. Programmers sign up online and compete against each other to solve complex algorithmic problems using the coding of their choice. Siebert placed 37th nationally at the local onsite competition held at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California.
