Doina Caragea awarded Iowa State University Research Excellence Award

Doina Caragea has been awarded an Iowa State University Research Excellence Award. The award honors students whose research accomplishments place them among the top 10 percent of all graduate students at Iowa State University. Doina completed her Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Vasant Honavar in the summer of 2004. Her work in the ISU Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory has led to the development of algorithms and software for knowledge acquisition from distributed, semantically heterogeneous data sources. Doina has published 12 refereed conference or journal publications based on her thesis research.
