Topic: A Formal Approach for an Authorization Protocol

Abstract:

Anonymity is valued commodity on the Internet many users take advantage of. Unfortunately, anonymity and credibility are essentially mutually exclusive. A practical method to determine source creditability without inheriting exclusive source identification capabilities is not in practice. Previous research efforts have proposed methods to ensure anonymous communication, but sacrifice either authorization or privacy.

We propose a scheme in which a message sender can prove his or her creditability any to any participant without also providing source identification capabilities. In addition, the scheme must disjoin sequences of message identifiers, and be cognizant of user attempt to violate some enforced message quota.
