Carl Chang delivers a keynote speech at IPSJ General Assembly

On March 9, 2004, Carl Chang delivered a keynote address at the 2004 General Assembly (annual convention) of the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) that is the largest computer society in Japan and a sister society of IEEE Computer Society. This year the IPSJ General Assembly was held in Keio University on March 9-11. More than 2,000 particiants attended the annual convention. The title of Chang's keynote address is "Evolving the World of Computing with New Curricula and Professional Certification". Chang's speech stimulated vivid discussions as the Japanese participants were very curious about and interested in the IEEE certification program for software engineers. IPSJ also co-sponsors international conferences with IEEE Computer Society, including SAINT-2005 for which Carl Chang serves as the chair of its steering committee.
