Brief
Biography:
I graduated in the year 2002 as
software analyst for business processes from the
Academy of Economical Studies in Bucharest. My
dissertation, Evolving Text Mining , proposed a new Text Mining
method that combined Naive Bayes and Genetic Algorithms .
During the college years I worked as a freelancer webdesigner and
webdeveloper.
In the next year, I continued my studies with a Master of Arts in
Software Project
Management and worked as a research collaborator for the Department of
Cybernetics in the Academy of Economic Studies and as a financial
analyst for MEDIAPRO, the biggest media company in Romania. My MA
disseration, Present and Future of Knowledge Management Systems, studied the current situation from the point of view of the
offer
and the demand of Knowledge Management Systems and proposed some
preliminary solutions to the shortcomings of the current offering.
In August 2003 I started the PhD program in Artificial Intelligence at
the Iowa State University. I'm currently interested in extracting knowledge from folksonomies using spectral
techniques and probabilstic rule learning.
